Last year more than 3000 Victorians donated 7566 gifts online, valued at almost $250,000.
Donation rates have already risen by more than 10 per cent this year, making it look like the appeal will again be a rousing success.
These donations go towards providing Christmas gifts to at-risk children.
Berry Street provides residential care, foster care and kinship care for children and families who have suffered harm as a result of violence, abuse and neglect across Victoria.
Christmas is one of organisation’s busiest times of the year, as the number of children in need of a safe home increases and family violence escalates.
Only Melbourne CBD donated more than Ballarat last year, with Blackburn finishing in third.
There is still time to donate and help make someone less fortunate have a merry Christmas. To donate to the Berry Christmas Appeal, go to gifts.berrystreet.org.au.
