Gates to the area will be locked at 5pm today before construction begins on the new hotel and 105 car parks, and the Lydiard Street entrance is expected to close soon.
Signs have been placed at the station warning commuters about the opening of the new multi-level car park, but at least a dozen cars remain in the old space.
Construction company Pellicano's development manager Ian Kennedy referred enquiries to the state government, but added people concerned should get in touch with the site manager.
It's not known if construction will be delayed if the cars aren't moved.
The new multi-level car park was officially opened on Sunday, and the state government promised staff on hand to help direct people - at 10.30am on Monday, there did not appear to be any around the new car park.
The state government has been contacted for comment.
