The young Creswick-based family were rocked by baby George's neuroblastoma diagnosis in January, following the discovery of a lump on his belly button on New Years Day.
Doctors discovered a tennis-ball sized tumour in his stomach that had since spread to his arm and leg, so baby George was rushed into treatment at the Royal Children's Hospital that same month.
George is currently undergoing the chemotherapy stage of his treatment.
Mum Katie Davidson said that after George's second cycle of chemotherapy he was hurried back to hospital with an infection.

He is due to endure his third cycle of chemotherapy next week.
After a number of chemotherapy cycles, George will undergo surgery followed by radiation and immunology.
Family-run Griffin Burger has been running a fundraiser at its Ballarat-based business this week.
"We know a lot of people who know the family. From the moment the story came out, we've had people asking us to do a fundraiser," director Sam Griffin said.
"I went to school with Katie as well so it really hit home when I realised I knew the family and knew we wanted to do something to help."
The business has a history of hosting fundraisers for people in need.

"When we started [the business] we said that our biggest thing was to make burgers, to have good service and give back to the community," Mr Griffin said.
"So all of our suppliers are local and we try to support others and give back as much as we can to the community."
Griffin Burger is donating $5 from every one of its "Little George" burger specials this week. A slider is also available, with $2 from every purchase being donated directly to the family.
So far around $1000 has been raised through cash donations and from the profits of the burgers, but Mr Griffin said he hoped to raise around $3500.
Neuroblastoma is a rare childhood cancer mostly found in children under the age of five. Only around 40 children are diagnosed in Australia each year.
The fundraiser will continue until Sunday, March 3.
