Cooney-Cross has been a part of the program since its creation in 2018 and is happy to be back in 2020.
"It's been a good start for us the last couple of weeks," Cooney-Cross told Football Federation Australia recently.
Cooney-Cross was named among the top players in the country last year after being picked as a standby player for the Matildas World Cup team in England.
She landed on the radar of selectors after impressing coaches with her play as a member of the Future Matildas Asian Cup team earlier in that year.
She carried her momentum into 2020, enjoying a stellar season in the country's top women's competition as a member of the West Sydney Wanderers.
Her play saw her nominated for the W-League's young footballer of the year award at season's end.
The teen sensation spent three years in Ballarat between 2013-2016, playing under the tutelage of Ballarat City coach Tessa Curtain.
